I just did a month long handstand program. I would suggest doing 5 push ups with your hands in three different positions. First, 5 "regular" ones with fingers points ng forward, then 5 with fingers pointing toward each other, then 5 with fingers pointing in opposite directions. Then, finish with 5 fist push ups with the hands in the "normal" position with the palms facing toward each other. It helped me be ready to do hand stands every day.
